Bulgacon 2025
Bulgacon 2025 happened in Pazardzhik from the 6-8 September 2025 and the theme was "The Bright Future We All Dream Of: How To Fight For It?" It was generously hosted by the Youth Centre in the centre of the town.
Guests this year were Adrian Tchaikovsky, Francesco Verso, Neil Clark, Li Jun (Baoshu), Eric Simon, and Claudia Rapp.
It was a pleasure to meet Yuri Ilkov of the Arkady and Boris Strugatsky Club and celebrate its 50th year of inauguration. It was also a pleasure to meet Ilyia Valov and all the members of this lively Bulgarian science-fiction and fantasy community and the organisers at the Youth Centre.
Artline Studios. Sofia "Book Alley" Fair
After the Bulgacon Convention, Adrian then went to the 13th Edition of the "Book Alley" in Sofia, a large open air book fair, which took place from 8-14 September 2025 organised by the Bulgarian Book Association.
Here Adrian was hosted by Artline Studios who have published Children of Time and Children of Ruin in their prestigious "Nebula" collection!

Adrian took part in panels on topics such as "Utopias, Dystopias and everything in between" and "Deep tech threats and solutions at the intersection of practice, science and fiction" alongside other international guests and local Bulgarian scientists, authors and esteemed members of the Club.
He also was given an excellent tour around Plovdiv by Joro Penchev with international guests, Baoshu, Neil Clark, Francesco Verso, and Claudia Rapp and took part in two TV programmes.
13th Edition of Sofia "Book Alley" Fair
and Artline Studios
On Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 September 2025, Adrian attended the the Sofia 13th Edition of the "Book Alley" fair, signing his books published by Artline Studios on the Monday and doing an interview on the Tuesday.

On the evening of Monday 8 September 2025, Adrian appeared at Club Gramophone in the centre of Sofia, Bulgaria in discussion with author and academic, Vladimir Poleganov, and science fiction academic and researcher, Alexander Popov hosted by Joro Penchev.
It was wonderful to meet so many local science fiction and fantasy fans, answer their questions, and sign books.
Media Engagement in Sofia
On Tuesday 9 September, Adrian did a round of media engagements with BloombergTV Bulgaria, Bulgarian National TV and recorded a podcast with Ratio.bg.
TV interviews were conducted with illustrious journalists and TV personalities: Roselina Petkova, Dimitar Stoyanovich, Petya Dikova and Kristina Stambolova. Grateful thanks also go to translators Bistra Stoimenova and Petya Kisiova.

On the way home after the last interview, Adrian was granted a VERY special visitor who just jumped onto his arm!
