Celsius232: The Glorious Spanish Fandom

This year Adrian and his wife, Annie, were there to take part.

It was the biggest Celsius 232 ever! This science fiction and fantasy literature festival is held in Avilés, Asturias in North Spain in the middle of July each year.

It was a joy to meet so many people, sign so many books, and celebrate all that is science fiction and fantasy in Spain.

The Spanish fandom are some of the most welcoming and enthusiastic on the planet!

So many thanks go to the organisers headed by Cristina Macía, the fantastic interviewers including the insightful Leticia Lara, and translators including the ever amazing Diego García Cruz. The panel "Escribir Ciencia Ficción" with Aliette de Bodard and Jason Sanford, and Adrian's own interview with Leticia, was lively, fun, and very well attended.

Thanks to the enthusiasm of the Spanish and Catalan science fiction and fantasy fans, many of Adrian's books are now available in these languages.
