A return, after some time, to my occasional practice of spoof-casting a book with actors who seem to fit the roles. Most of the time I don’t have real people in mind at all, when I’m writing. Very occasionally someone does intrude – in this case Capaldi was irresistible as Ivarn from the get go, and impossible to shake. Other roles were profoundly hard to find a good fit for. Also, you can absolutely see what I’ve been watching recently from some of the picks.
