Eastercon, the UK's annual science fiction and fantasy convention held in Belfast this year, was a remarkable event for me. I was delighted that Saturation Point won the 

BSFA Award for Best Shorter Fiction. 

Also that weekend at Norwescon, one of the largest science fiction and fantasy conventions in the US, Alien Clay received the Special Citation in the Philip K Dick Awards. 

In addition, last year at Erasmuscon, which was also the 2024 Eurocon (European Convention for fantasy, science fiction and horror), I was inducted into the Hall of Fame and awarded the Prix Européen De Science-Fiction for Best Author. They tracked me down at Eastercon this weekend and gave me this rather beautiful wooden trophy.
